Hi Readers, I am so glad you have stopped by our Five Amigos Blog!

The other Amigos and I decided that we should have pictures of each of us and we should each tell you about ourselves. So, here it goes.. I am Allison (I know you know that) and I am 11 years old, and will be 12 in January. I am in 6th grade now at Ridgeview Middle School in Des Moines Iowa. In the first Five Amigos book, The Green School Caper, I was in 5th grade at Talent Elementary.

It is a pretty big change at the bottom of the pile, 6th grade vs. 8th, compared to being at the top last year! But… it's ok… I like having more teachers, and after my wonderful teacher last year, Mrs. Elliot, I was sure I would not like it at all. Yet, I think it is working out for the best because no one could ever top Mrs. Elliot. This way I get used to different teachers. Though in 6th grade here you only have two main teachers. One that teaches math and science and one that teaches language arts and social studies. We do have electives with different teachers. I was also worried about being separated from the other Amigos, but we all have the same core teachers. We each have different electives, which is a good thing. So far it is looking like a great school year!

As you know, I want to be an environmentalist. At least I did in the first book, and you will be glad to know that has not changed. I am really even more interested then I was then. I got to spend a month at my Nana and Pop Pop's, in Oregon near the beach, this summer! More than my usual 10 days. Why you ask? Well, my Uncle Erik, my mom's brother, got married! I was asked to come out early to help with the wedding plans. I was thrilled, as guess what, Erik and his now wife, wanted a Green, Organic wedding! They knew I would love to help them make it that way! So out I went, and help I did… So much fun… Erik is a 5th grade teacher in Tillamook, which is near my grandparent's. I got to meet and become friends with a few of the kids in his class. They helped too. Also, the Five Amigos all came out for the wedding. They had met Erik when he came to visit us in Iowa, and had always wanted to come to Oregon…. So they did! We all got involved in this very green wedding, and had so much fun! And the wedding turned out to be perfect.. But not before, you guessed it, we had another caper to solve! This time we had the five of us and our new friends to help. It was even harder then the Can Caper to solve… oh, but I better not say anything more, as it is all in our new adventure, The Green Wedding Caper. I think the author Lynn, changed the title? But it is the 2nd book and will be out in the spring of 2009. I know you will have fun reading about all of us once again! Thank you for visiting our site!
